Torgny: the charm of Provence in Belgium

Honey-colored houses with doors and windows painted in bright colors, pretty flowers everywhere and an abundance of vineyards… this must be in southern France, right? Nope! We continued our road trip through the south of Belgium and this is Torgny, one of the most enchanting villages I’ve ever seen.

Torgny is the southernmost place in Belgium, located in the Gaume region. This region is mostly-known for having a micro climate, with pleasant temperatures and all the right conditions for wine-growing. Hence the charming Provence vibes in this tiny village!

Stepping into a fairytale

Walking around in Torgny felt like stepping into a fairytale. I totally loved strolling through its adorable streets, every house in Torgny looks so cute and all of them are decorated with flowers. Seriously, how can one little village have so many instagrammable spots?!

The people here seemed so relaxed and I can totally see why. Not only do they live in an insanely cute village, they also enjoy Mediterranean temperatures and they produce their own wine. That sounds like pure happiness to me!

What to do in Torgny?

Soaking up the sun and drink wine all day long. Just kidding, you could do that of course but don’t forget to check out Togny’s monumental sights as well. This includes a little chapel on top of a hill and a nature reserve called Raymond Mayne.

How to get to Torgny?

The best and easiest way to visit Torgny is by driving to there. Since Torgny is such a small village I would recommend checking out other places in the region as well and a car offers you all the freedom to get around.

In case you do wish to travel to Torgny by public transportation then you can take a bus from the Walloon cities Namur and Arlon.

What is the cutest village you've ever been to?

Ayo! AR x
